Client invoices are marked as "send later". I create invoice. It does not display "send later" . I display sales and I want a batch "send later" no invoices show.

My question is brief because the number of characters is limited.  In the old invoice scenario each invoice under the client's email address would have a check mark next to "send later".  I would create a number of invoices.  Then go to "all sales" and display invoice that are only set to "send later".   With the new invoicing "send later" does not show up on the invoice.  When I display all sales and select to display  invoices by delivery method and select "send later" no invoices are displayed.  Even though for this client in their settings all invoices are set to "send later". I confirmed this is checked in the client settings.

Go to Sales, Invoices and scroll down. You can click on the list of invoices and above it you will see Batch, this will show a drop down menu where you can select send. There are other options too.

That's not quite it.  Just to the right of batch and down slightly is "delivery method".  I used to be able to select "send later" from that drop down and it would only display invoices that are set to "send later".  Now when I click on it nothing is displayed/listed even though I have my client invoices all set to "send later".

When they created the new invoice layout that option was removed.

I appreciate your detailed description of your concern about the new invoice layout in QuickBooks Online. Rest assured, I'm here to help you get through this.

 

The Delivery Method filter can be found in the All Sales tab. Currently, when you choose the Send Later as the delivery method filter, nothing will show. I recommend contacting our support to investigate this case further.

 

In the meantime, you can see if the invoice has already been sent or not via the STATUS column shown in the image below:

This can help you identify which invoice hasn't been sent yet.

 

You can also send feedback directly to our product engineers to bring back the Send Later option which was included in the previous invoice layout.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Select the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  2. Fill in your suggestions in the Feedback field.
  3. Select Next to send it.

 

After that, you can also consider creating and printing a packing slip in QuickBooks Online.

This is frustrating!  This is something I have been using for years on almost a daily basis.  My current "workaround" I am using is time consuming to say the least.
