Question

How do I delete multiple expense lines at once. I just moved from godaddy bookkeeping and I have to fix some duplicates. Thanks, Jim

I seem to only be able to do one line at a time.

Hi there, @vintageflip-comc. I'd be glad to share additional information about removing duplicates in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and will help you resolve your concern.

Currently, the option to do a batch delete is only available for bank feeds transactions that are yet added in QuickBooks.

Here's how to delete online banking transactions:

  1. Go to the Banking menu and select a Bank account.
  2. From the For Review tab.
  3. Tick the checkbox of the transactions you want to exclude.
  4. Then select Exclude.
  5. From the Excluded tab.
  6. Mark the transactions again and then click the Batch actions button.
  7. Click Delete.

However, if you're deleting a chart of account transactions, you'll need to delete them one at a time.

I've also added the following articles for future purposes:

Please feel free to post a reply if you have clarification in removing your duplicate transactions or if you have any other concerns. I'll be glad to assist you. Stay safe!

Hello, I followed those directions, but the banking tab only has paypal transactions. I have to go to the next tab over called app transactions to see my ebay managed payments items. It only shows 1 item.

I was with godaddybookkeeping and they migrated all the entries to qb.  However, there were tons of errors in the migration.  I need to go delete expenses and income in certain areas to get things to match back up.

Also, it was only supposed to import from Jan. 1, 2022, to present but somehow it went all the way back to 2014. Can I delete all of that? Thanks, Jim

@vintageflip-comc

You can utilize a deleter tool

https://transactionpro.grsm.io/qbo

Another option, purchase a 3rd party service to convert data only from Jan 1, 2022 to date.
