Hi there, @hello@cornerston.

I'd love to help you in tracking your revenues in QuickBooks Online. However, want to ask if you're trying to add sales transactions that are recorded from another app? Or you want to integrate the app so revenues will be tracked in QBO?

Any further details about this concern would be a great help so I can give you the right amount of information.

Please get back to me by leaving a reply below. I'll make sure you're taken care of.

I'll be keeping an eye out for your response on this. Have a lovely day!

Thanks for getting back to me.

We currently use another app to collect revenue information and that app does not combine the different streams into one.  It allows me to download the information to several spreadsheets and then manipulate the spreadsheets so that i can add up the pieces so i can put it manually into quickbooks. So although i would love an automated way to do that my other app doesn’t allow that to be quite so hands off as of yet.  So I’m really interested in figuring out how to, once i get the information out of the other app, to manually book it into quick books on a monthly basis. And, to start, i need to go back a few months and put those in as well.

Thanks for your help with this.

Hi Lynda!

I know how to record it on QuickBooks Online. Let me share it with you.

The easiest way to enter the revenue you collected is by the Sales receipt. Once you have all the info from your third-party app, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the + New button and select Sales receipt.
  2. Select a Customer and enter all necessary details.
  3. Tap Save and close.

You can create a lumpsum sales receipt since you want it on a monthly basis. If you're tracking your daily sales, please check this article: Record your total daily sales.

For new users, I suggest checking this tutorial: How-to video center. This link will show you videos on how to use QuickBooks Online to help you and your business.

I'll be here if you need further assistance. Take care!
