Buy nowDo you need to merge 2 QBO accounts into only 1 QBO account and separate the original data by class?
Yes, Turbo tax and QuickBooks are two different Intuit accounts, @abmoxey. I’d be glad to discuss them with you.
TurboTax is software for preparing income tax returns. While QuickBooks Online is a full-featured business and financial management platform that helps your accounting, inventory, payroll, tax filing, invoicing, bank account tracking and reconciliation, budgeting, payment processing, and more.
With this, merging these two Intuit accounts isn’t possible. You may consider entering your QuickBooks transactions manually into your Turbo Tax account as a workaround.
You can also utilize a third-party app to export and import your file or a trial version of QuickBooks Desktop. Then, check this guide for complete instructions on how to move your data: How do I import QuickBooks data into TurboTax Business?
I’ve added this article to learn more about filing and correcting tax returns: How to Correct Federal Tax Returns. It contains articles about amending income returns and tips for avoiding E-file rejections.
You can always reach back out if you have any other questions or concerns besides merging Intuit accounts. I’ll be here to help. Keep safe!
When I'm logged into QuickBooks and Turbo Tax at the same time, is it normal for one to log out because I start working in the other? I thought it was because I have the two different accounts/log-ins. I already had the two accounts when I was using Turbo Tax (which always caused me confusion) before starting to use QuickBooks.
Hello, abmoxey.
I'd like to help you out but I need more details from you.
In order for me to get the accurate details, I'd like to know if you've signed up for QuickBooks Self-Employed account before and linked it with your TurboTax account?
Looking forward to your reply.
The fact that we can't merge two intuit accounts is completely bogus. You expect someone to manually enter an entire year of banking info into turbotax? Yet we can import everything from other businesses like Stripe. Quickbooks and turbotax are all housed under Intuit - this should be so easy for us users to do! You could make it as simple as oh hey use the same login info for both accounts boom. Intuit shouldn't be messy but it is. I have an intuit account login and a turbotax account login and a quickbooks login. IT IS SO FRUSTRATING.
