Project Report

Hi there, cchilds@brennera.

Thank you for visiting again the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing information to ensure you'll be able to send feedback so your suggestion is forwarded to the Product Development Team.

The different information shared above about the available reports for the project in QuickBooks are the only options you can perform for now. If you want another project report to show the full details on one page, we're currently unable to provide the exact time frame of when the said option would be implemented.

Since the feature isn't possible, I suggest going to the Gear icon in QuickBooks Online. From there, you're able to choose Feedback to submit a request about a full project report. Any recommendations are sent to our engineer for consideration in future updates.

Lastly, I'm also adding this article to further guide you in effectively managing your business using QBO: Help guide for QuickBooks Online. It contains topics about advanced accounting, banking, and payments to name a few.

Let me know if there's anything else you need help with. Know that I'm always here to help you anytime. Take care and keep safe!

Hello! Your guide really helps alot. Thank you very much.

By any chance, I would like to ask if there is a way to have Statement of Account per project and not per customer?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you for following up, Jebeltran.

Let me share some information about statement of account per project in QuickBooks Online.

Currently, an option to generate statement of account per project is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. I can see how this feature can be beneficial to your business.

You can send us feedback or any product suggestions to improve your experience while using QuickBooks.

Like this:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and choose Feedback under profile.
  2. It will open a window where you can enter your product suggestions.
  3. From there, input how you want the program to work.
  4. Click Next to submit it.

You may also track your feature requests through this link: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online.

Let us know what you still have in mind or if you still need further assistance about projects. I'll be around if you need help. Have a good day!

Project Report

Hi to everyone I'm using Quickbook online Plus, my problem is about project report for project profitability. When I record the cash advances of employees for business operation, I record debit to Advances asset account and credit to Cash account, When I record the liquidation of cash advances, I record expenses as debit and credit for Advances. When I run the profit and Loss for the company which includes all the projects, the report is perfectly correct, but when I run the project report  profitability, it does not show the record for liquidation of cash advances which I entered in the journal entry. It does not show the expenses for liquidation of cash advance for a  certain project.. I appreciate your help and assistance for my concern regarding project reports. Thanks in advance.

Project Report

Thanks for posting in the Community, @Nympha_2022. It'd be my pleasure to assist you with the Project Profitability report in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The projects feature in QBO works like job costing which helps you organize all of the pieces that make up a project. This feature includes transactions, time, and reports so you'll always know how your project is doing.

The record for liquidating cash advances doesn't show in the Project Profitability Report in QuickBooks Online (QBO) because they are recorded using Journal Entries. And this directly assigns an account.

Unlike using bills in recording, they will be billable to the project which will report it to the Project Profitability Report.

To know more about how the Project feature, see this article: Set up and create projects in QuickBooks Online

Our doors are always open here in the Community. Feel free to drop a comment if you have any other questions about running the Project Profitability report in QBO. Have a wonderful day!
