I am trying to paste credit card transactions from a spreadsheet to batch enter.

I'm on a different server but I tested copying from a file on that save server.

When I paste all information is put into one cell. Please assist.

Good thing you came here for support, GingerAccounting.

I can help batch enter transactions seamlessly.

Since the pasted information is only put in one cell, let's perform some troubleshooting steps. I believe running a rebuild and verify on your file is one of the steps to resolve this.

Here's how:

  1. From the File menu, click on Utilities.
  2. Select Rebuild Data.
  3. Go back to Step 1, then choose Verify Data.

Here is an article that can further guide you on troubleshooting data damage within your file: Resolve data damage on your company file.

Then, you can enter transactions by batch. Refer to this article: Enter transactions by batch in QuickBooks Desktop.

Additionally, check on this article to guide you if you'll have damaged transitions: Fix damaged transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.

You know where to go if you have other questions about entering bank transactions. Have a good one.

Hello, I need help with troubleshooting why I cannot copy from Excel on my PC and enter batch transactions into Quickbooks Desktop on a remote server. It has been working for over a year and it suddently stopped working.

Hi, pmtsgal. I've got the troubleshooting methods you need to ensure you can copy from Excel and add batch transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.

First, ensure your Excel is updated to enhance your productivity and data management capabilities. This way, you can copy from Excel to your PC seamlessly.

Next, let's verify and rebuild your company file to scan it for errors or data damage. Doing so helps us resolve the issue with batch transactions. Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the File menu, then select Utilities.
  2. Click Verify Data, then OK to close all windows.
  3. Navigate to the File menu again, then choose Utilities.
  4. Tap Rebuild Data, then OK to close all windows.
  5. Follow onscreen instructions.

If the issue persists, run Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Here's how to do that:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.6.0.5) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub and save the file somewhere you can easily find on your Downloads folder or Windows desktop.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and conform to the terms and conditions.
  5. Once installed, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop.

After that, go to Solution 1 in this article for detailed instructions: Repair your QuickBooks Desktop for Windows. If this doesn't solve the issue, proceed to Solution 2.

Once mended, start entering transactions by batch in QuickBooks Desktop.

Please let me know if you have any other concerns regarding copying and pasting data or transactions. You can add them in your response.
