Sales Commisions

I would like to generate a report whereby i can pay a sales representative on the sales collected and NOT just on the sale. Basically i want to pay based on collections and not on the sale filtered by rep. I would like to included the date the invoice was paid as well.

Good day, @SaulW. I'll be glad to help you achieve the report you want to run in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

You'll want to run the Sales by Rep Detail and Collections Report to show the details you need in your report. Then, export it to an Excel file so you can manually add the details that will matter to your report.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu, then go to Sales.
  2. Click Sales by Rep Detail.
  3. Select Customize Report, and go to the Filters tab.
  4. In the Search Filters field, enter and select Transaction type.
  5. Under Transaction Type, select Invoice, then click OK.
  6. Filter the other details you want to add n the report.
  7. Change the To and From dates, then click Refresh

 

For collection report and how to export them through an Excel file, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Reports, then select Customers & Receivables.
  2. Choose Collections Report.
  3. Customize the details of your report.
  4. In the report, click the Excel drop-down. Then, tick Create New Worksheet.
  5. Click Export.

 

An Excel spreadsheet will open you can highlight the customer's name column and Filter. Thank you for your prompt response. The collections report extracts data for a much longer period of time. I am looking to only extract the days to pay for on particular month. I realize the I can possibly extract the data i am looking for on the excel but this becomes a bit tedious. 

What i am trying to accomplish to encourage the representatives to assist in our customers paying the invoice quicker and they will be rewarded based on the number of days the invoices are paid.

I am aware of the advantages for businesses like yours to run a Collections report for a particular month. I want QuickBooks Desktop to have this feature as much as you do.

 

But this feature is not available in QuickBooks Desktop. However, I strongly urge you to share your thoughts with our software engineers. They carefully examine customer feedback, especially when determining how to improve QuickBooks.

 

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the top.
  2. Select Send Feedback Online.
  3. Click Product Suggestion.
  4. Click on the drop-down for Type of Feedback and select Product Suggestion.
  5. Select the Product Area.
  6. Enter your thoughts and suggestions.
  7. Click Send Feedback.
