sorry advanced reporting couldn't update your report

Thank you for visiting the Community today, ibrahim.

Dealing with errors while running reports can be tricky. I'm here to help you troubleshoot and get the Advanced Reporting feature working back to normal.

First, update QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise (QBES) to the latest version. It's recommended to run this troubleshooting outside of regular work hours to minimize any interruptions. Before doing so, create a backup copy of the company file to prevent accidental loss.

Aside from that, ensure that your QuickBooks meets the system requirements. This way, it's compatible with your setup. Next, check your company file for any potential data issues.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to QBDT as the Admin. The Admin account must have a password.
  2. Head to the Company menu to choose Users and select Edit the Admin user.
  3. Remove special characters like ":" "&" and "/" from the company file name, then make sure the extension is .qbw.
  4. Exit and restart QuickBooks.
  5. Go to the Window menu and select Close All.
  6. Navigate to the File menu at the top bar and choose Utilities.
  7. Click the Verify Data button.

Once completed, the QuickBooks detected no problems with your data file pop-up box will show up. If you see any other message, follow the instructions to fix it and verify the data again.

When the desktop program detects no problems, let's proceed and install QBES. Check out this article for detailed instructions: Update QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise to the latest version. Then, proceed directly to Step 2 and continue up to Step 4

If you continue to get the same result, follow these steps to rectify the issue:

  1. Remove any parentheses, brackets, or apostrophes in the company file path or file name by renaming folders or files.
  2. Re-open the company file and run Advanced Reporting.
  3. Change the date to follow the standard format: MM/DD/YYYY.
  4. Make sure that QVConnect32.exe isn't blocked by your antivirus program. If it is, you’ll need to add an exception for the QlikView connector in the AVP's real-time scan. QVConnect32.exe file location:
  • Windows 10 and newer: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\QVConnect\11.20.12235.0.

Please note these steps vary depending on the anti-virus program you're using. It's best to contact your anti-virus program support site for detailed instructions.

Otherwise, reach out to our Technical Support Team for further assistance. They have tools to pinpoint the source of the issue and will guide you on how to apply the permanent fix.
