Before anything else, may I know what your region is? Since QuickBooks Desktop is exclusive only for US and Canada regions. Otherwise, if you're from US, I suggest upgrading your account since US regions doesn't offer a lifetime license for QBDT 2021
Please also know that after May 31, 2024, the QuickBooks Desktop 2021 software was discontinued. This includes all 2021 versions of QuickBooks Desktop Pro, QuickBooks Desktop Premier, QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions v21. Other Intuit products are affected by the software discontinuation.
If you don't upgrade your QuickBooks Desktop 2021 by May 31, 2024, you won't have access to live technical support if you run into problems or any of the other Intuit services that can be integrated with QuickBooks Desktop. This includes QuickBooks Desktop Payroll, QuickBooks Desktop Payments, and online bank feeds. Discontinued versions won't receive the latest critical security patches and updates.
Furthermore, Intuit will release a new version of QuickBooks Desktop every year with new updates and features. The one-time license or non-subscription software has a three-year life cycle. For example, if you purchase a one-time license of QuickBooks Desktop 2021, you are advised to upgrade by 2024. If your computer's operating system is still compatible with the old QuickBooks Desktop, you can continue using it.
Also, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks support for confirmation providing them with your license number and asking specifically about the terms of your license.
