Estimates V Sales Orders, I’m thinking about changing from Desktop Version to QBO, can I still run the report Open Sales Orders by Item?

Thanks for visiting us here today, @userdermotfadden.

QuickBooks Online doesn't have sales order transactions. While some reports in QuickBooks Desktop aren't available in QBO, you'll want to use the sales by products/service detail report. Then, filter it to view the open balance.

Here's how:

  1. In your QBO account, go to the Reports tab.
  2. Type Sales by Product/Service Detail Report in the search field.
  3. In the report, tap the Customize button or tick the small Gear icon beside the Export and Printer icon.
  4. Mark the box next to Open Balance, and Estimate or PO No.
  5. Click anywhere in the report to refresh the page.

Here's how it looks like:

You can refer to this article to know more about the reports in QBO: Reports included in your QuickBooks Online subscription.

I'm also adding this link to help you with your first hour in using QBO.

Keep me posted if you still have questions or concerns with the reports or your account. I'm always here for you. Take care and have a great day ahead.

@userdermotfadden

There is no Sales Order feature in QBO. You need to have an additional app to do so. You may find such report in the app.

Why do you consider switching to QBO?
