Register QuickBooks Desktop using your Intuit account

Learn how to register QuickBooks Desktop using your Intuit Account.
When you activate QuickBooks Desktop, you’ll be asked to set up your Intuit Account. Sign in to your Intuit Account to link your existing account information directly.
Once you sign in to your Intuit Account, you can purchase and view products and services, or download and activate products. To verify your Intuit Account, see Manage your Intuit Account online.
Activate QuickBooks Desktop with your Intuit Account
Activate with an existing Intuit Account or create a new one with the activation screen in QuickBooks Desktop.
If you don't have an existing Intuit Account, fill out all the required information in the Create Your User ID section to complete the activation process.
Note: On the registration form that follows, the phone number and ZIP code are pre-filled based on the company file you have open.
If you have an existing Intuit Account, enter the user ID and password to begin the activation process.
If you can’t remember your user ID and/or password, here’s how to retrieve them.
- Go to https://www.quickbooks.com/account.
- Select I forgot my user ID or password link.
- Enter your registered email, phone number, or user ID.
- Enter the code you receive.
- Reset your password once your user ID appears.
- Sign in again.
