You can use email confirmation rather than text verification to update your phone number. This provides a secure alternative if you do not have access to your old phone number.

Here’s how:

1. On the verification screen, choose Email a code.
2. Intuit will email you a 6-digit code.
3. Type in the code you received, then click Continue.

Once you are signed in, here is how to change your number:

1. Go to Sign in & security and select Phone.
2. Click Change.
3. Type in your new phone number, then click Save.

If you cannot access your old phone number or your email, you can recover your account by filling out a short recovery form.

Here’s how to submit your request:

1. Go to the account recovery form.
2. Fill out the required information.
3. Upload a high-quality photo of one of the accepted documents.
4. Submit the form.
