Question

bank transactions missing?

Anyone else had the problem where bank transactions are not showing? I have the last in March 26 and then restarts 23/6/26

That gap between March 26 and June 23, 2026, usually happens because the bank feed was temporarily disconnected. This often happens because of updated login credentials, an unresolved error message, or an expired Open Banking connection that needs reconfirmation.

To fix this, first try manually updating your feed by clicking the Update button to refresh the connection. If the gap remains, download the missing transactions directly from your bank's website and manually upload the CSV file into QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:

  1. Go to All apps, then Accounting, then Bank transactions.
  2. Select the Link account ▼ dropdown, then select Upload from file.
  3. Drag and drop your downloaded CSV file or select it from your computer, then click Continue.
  4. In the QuickBooks account ▼ dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into, and click Continue.
  5. Follow the on-screen mapping steps to match the columns from your bank file (Date, Description, Amount) to QuickBooks' fields.
  6. Select Yes, then select Done.

Once uploaded, these transactions will appear in your For Review tab, where you can match and categorize them into the correct accounts.

Just to clarify, which particular bank account is missing transactions? Feel free to add any additional details or questions in the comments below.

Hi, I came across your question about the gap in your bank transactions. Did you manage to resolve it?

I'm building FeedFix, a tool that compares bank transactions with QuickBooks and flags potential missing entries, duplicates, and mismatches for review. I'm looking for a few people to try a short demo using sample data and tell me whether the findings would be useful.

Would you be open to taking a look?

Hi, a gap that starts and stops on specific dates usually means the feed was disconnected and, once it reconnected, it only pulled forward from that point. How far back a bank lets QuickBooks backfill varies, so a gap like this often won't fill by itself.

Before you upload anything, check whether those months are already in your books. If you entered or imported them earlier, uploading again just creates duplicates.

If they really are missing:

1. Download a CSV from your bank covering only the day after your last transaction through the day before the feed restarted. A narrow range keeps you from re-importing anything already in QuickBooks.

2. Go to Transactions > Bank transactions, choose Link account, then Upload from file, and map Date, Description and Amount.

3. Match or categorize the new lines in For review.

4. Reconcile March through June against the statements to confirm nothing is missing or doubled.

If your CSV has separate Debit and Credit columns, pick the two-column option when mapping. Otherwise deposits can import as expenses.

Is the register empty for those months, or do you already see entries there?
