Assuming you used the process of receive payment to undeposited funds, then make bank deposit, the record is pulled into the deposit.  Changing the name will disassociate the deposit with the customer.  Either add a memo to the deposit or change the customer name in the customer's template.

Hello, @KSADolphin.

I'd be glad to help you today so you'll be able to correct the customer name in the deposit.

To change the customer name in the deposit, you can simply edit the deposit and change the customer name. Let me guide you how.

  1. Locate the deposit by going to the Lists menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Select the correct account for the deposit.
  4. Locate/find the deposit.
  5. Change the customer name.
  6. Click Save and close to save the changes.
