The top part of the deposit slip will not print but the bottom with the summary will. How can I get the deposit top section of the slip to print. This changed with different updated operating system. Thanks

Let's perform some steps to resolve this, matthewsdancer.

You can go back to the deposit page and click Print. Then, please make sure to select the Deposit slip and deposit summary in the Print Deposit window. Once done, click the Preview button in the Print Deposit Slips window.

If you're still unable to print the deposit slip, let's perform a few troubleshooting steps to resolve this. Please see the troubleshooting of PDF and print problems for the detailed steps.

Please see the screenshots I've provided below:

Let me know if you're able to print the deposit slip. Have a good one!

Thank you for your help. All that you suggested I found and performed yesterday with the deposit slip portion of the page still not printing. By the way, the top deposit slip listing also does not appear in the print preview but the bottom summary does.
Thanks again for any help in this!

I suddenly have this same problem.  Followed all suggestions and the top of the deposit no longer prints (does not appear in preview either)

Hi there, @mkmccutcheon.

I appreciate you performing the suggestions shared by my colleagues above to fix the issue. Let's perform other troubleshooting steps so you can print deposit slips.

Before we start, have you perform all the troubleshooting steps provided from the article? If you haven't yet, I'd suggest doing it so.

To get started, let's verify the printer if it's the correct one. Here's how:

  1. In your QuickBooks Desktop, go to the File menu.
  2. Select Printer Setup.
  3. From the Form Name drop-down, choose Deposits.
  4. Select the Printer from the Printer name drop-down.
  5. Click OK.

If your printer's name doesn't show on the list, you'll need to correct the setup within your computer's Printer Setup. For the detailed instructions, just click the Help button from the Printer setup window.

Once done, go back and try to print deposit slip again to double-check.

If it's still not printing, feel free to check out this article for additional troubleshooting steps: Resolve Printing Issues.

In case you want to print a batch of forms in QuickBooks Desktop, you can read this article for your future reference: Batch Print Forms.

I've tried all your suggestions multiple times. Still nothing printing on the top of the deposit slip, only the summary on the bottom.  Does not matter which printer I use.  This has worked fine for years.  Could changing from WIndows 7 to Windows 10 have caused the problem

I have 3 bank accounts I deposit to and never had a problem printing deposit slips. My deposit slip has always printed the individual payment amounts of each check with the total at the bottom with the # of checks in the deposit. As of today, 1 bank account prints as always with the breakdown on the deposit slip & summary. The other 2 bank accounts print the total deposit amount and 1 for the number of checks when I have numerous checks in the deposit. The summary prints all the checks as usual.

Nothing has changed other than I upgraded the QB file to QB Pro 2023.

Thanks for joining the Community and getting involved with this thread, FrustratedinCT1.

Since your deposit slips aren't displaying as they normally would when printed, I'd recommend performing Joyce_P's recommended troubleshooting steps.

Here's how:

  1. From the Deposit page, click Print.
  2. Be sure to choose Deposit slip and deposit summary in your Print Deposit window.
  3. Hit OK.
  4. On the Print Deposit Slips screen, select Preview.

If your preview still doesn't look proper, you'll want to perform the troubleshooting steps from our Fix PDF and Print problems article.

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have an awesome day!
