Receipts tab under accounting

There are so many junk receipts or email bodies that don’t say anything or amounts that are pre-tip and don’t match entered transactions under this tab.  Are people going through all of these and deleting or adding to existing transactions?  This would take hours.  Any feedback would be great.  Thanks.

No, users generally do not go through and process all of those as it would be time-consuming.

The Receipts tab is an optional document storage area, not a mandatory checklist. If it’s filled with irrelevant items or mismatched amounts, you can utilize the checkbox at the top to select all and click Delete. This will not affect your financial records or bank feeds.

The primary source of truth is the Bank Transactions feed. Only upload or forward receipts when you specifically want them attached to a significant transaction.

I would like to share this article that provides tips on how to simplify the process of categorization: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
