I started a new account in 6/20.  The account wasn't connected to QB until 9/21.  I need to get the transactions in QB between 6/20 and 8/31.

Hi @Gwen23. I can help you get specific period prior transactions to QuickBooks Online.

You'll have to download the entries dated between 6/20 and 8/21 from your bank and then upload them in QuickBooks manually into your account. The supported file format should be QBO, .CSV, or .QFX (maximum file size 350KB). This way, you can get your old transactions in QBO.

Let me show insights to get your prior transactions:

  1. Sign in to your bank's website.
  2. Follow your financial institution's instructions to download the entries to your computer. Some banks call this WebConnect.
  3. Make sure to filter the date range for the download is at least one day before your oldest transaction.
  4. Download your transactions.
  5. Then save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like on your Desktop.

Here's how to upload the file to QuickBooks:

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu, and click the Banking tab.
  2. Select the Link account drop-down, and click Upload from file.

  3. Click the select files link, and then choose the file downloaded file from your bank. Then select Continue.
  4. Select the account you want to upload the transactions from the QuickBooks account drop-down, then hit Continue.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks, then select Continue
  6. Select the transactions you would like to import and click Continue
  7. Click Yes to import the transaction and select Done

@Gwen23

Another option, utilize MT Online. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed.
