Let me walk you through the step-by-step process of downloading the QuickBooks Online Desktop App for Windows, @japtekar.

To download the QuickBooks Online desktop app, you'll need a Windows 64-bit computer and you need to be a QuickBooks Online subscriber or an accountant with a QuickBooks Online Accountant. Alternatively, you can use your QBO Advanced account to download the app.

Here are the steps you need to follow to download the app:

1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account and go to 'Settings.'

2. Click on 'Get the desktop app.'

3. Select and save the .exe file and open the QuickBooks Setup file to install.

4. Once installed, use the shortcut to open the app.

5. Enter your user ID and password and select your company.

6. Customize the app as per your preference.

7. You're all set!

After installation, use the shortcut to access your QuickBooks account. The app will sign you in automatically unless you sign out, and this feature lasts for 6 months.

If you need more information and details about downloading the app, please visit this link: Download the QuickBooks Online desktop app

I appreciate you coming back and providing a screenshot of your concern, @japtekar. I'm here to ensure you'll get the information you need to install the appropriate QuickBooks product and start managing your business.

Downloading the QuickBooks Online (QBO) desktop app via the Gear icon is only available on QBO Advanced and Accountant versions. Also, it needs a Windows 64-bit processor in your software to have the feature.

For more details, check out this article: Download and use the QuickBooks Online desktop app. It also contains information on how you can access multiple companies in QBO.

If you're not a subscriber to one of the mentioned plans above, I recommend downloading it directly through this link: Easier access to QuickBooks Online, then select the Download Now button.

Once done, you can place a QuickBooks Online shortcut or icon on your desktop. You can look into this article on how to do this for all browsers, whether you're using a Windows PC or a Mac: Create a desktop shortcut for QuickBooks Online.

I'm ready to back you up if you need more help downloading and installing QuickBooks products. I'll keep the thread open so you can comment back.
