Hi there, @mgandhi.

Thank you for providing details and letting us know what's happening. I can share some information why you're unable to import web connect (.qbo) files.

Currently, being unable to verify the financial institution when importing to the desktop version is a known issue (INV-24116). Our engineers are working for an immediate fix.

I know that you've already called, but I recommend reaching out to them once more. We'll need to add you to the list of affected users so we can get your company set up for email updates. This way you will be updated once a fix has been implemented.

Please follow the steps below to get their contact details:

  1. Go to  https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contactus.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Choose your QuickBooks for Windows version.
  4. Select the issue/topic.
  5. Click the Get Phone Number button to see the support number.

I appreciate your understanding and patience.

I'll also keep you posted for any updates by getting back into this post. Feel free to visit the Community site if you have questions. We're always here to help.

RE: INV-24116

Got a link?  An internet search does not turn anything up on this.

Fifth Third Direct is not compatible with Quick books , in order to download transactions you need to have log in for Fifththird.com online banking, there you can download all the transactions as QFX file and then convert the QFX file to QBO and then import the QBO file to your Quick books,

Hi there, @smart114.

The investigation 24116 has already closed and resolved. You should be able to download transactions from your bank using Direct Connect. Currently, you can access the Fifth third bank or credit card account, and payments through Direct Connect.

To check other banks that support online banking in QuickBooks, you can go to the Banking menu, click Bank Feeds, then select Participating Financial Institutions.

Here's how:

  1. From the Banking menu, select Bank Feeds, then choose Bank Feeds Center.
  2. From the BANK ACCOUNTS list, choose the account you need to connect.
  3. Select Download Transactions if you are ready to send and receive transactions. Please take note that if you have previously downloaded transactions and have not processed them yet, the button label reads Transaction List.
  4. Select Synchronize, then choose Sync this account to update all incoming and outgoing transactions.
  5. In the Access to [FI name] dialog box that appears, type your PIN or password.
  6. Select OK.

If you get the same result, I agree with Established Member @smart114 workaround.

Once you finish downloading the bank feeds, you can refer to the following article to manage them: Add and match Bank Feed transactions.

Drop me a comment below if you have additional questions about downloading transactions in QuickBooks. I'll be happy to help you out. Have a wonderful day ahead.
