when trying to view bank transactions to match, they do not appear and system freezes

We can take a few steps together to troubleshoot and regain your ability to view and match bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Deb.

 

Sometimes, a browser can accumulate a lot of frequently accessed pages, which could lead to unusual behaviors when accessing bank transactions in QBO. To help resolve this, I recommend opening an incognito window in your browser to access the product with a clean slate. 

 

Depending on your browser, you can use the following shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl+ Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

 

If your transactions appear, please return to your regular browser and clear the cache for a fresh start. Additionally, switching to other supported browsers could also be worth a shot. 

 

Once everything is fine, it's best to review and categorize your downloaded bank transactions and put them in the correct accounts. Also, regularly review and reconcile your accounts to match your financial statements.

Already cleared browsing history, cookies, cache first, restarted and rebooted and completed all available system updates.  Still blank screen below bank transactions section in both the old and new views.

Also tried on newer computer with Windows 11 and a lot more memory and cpu power.  Still nothing.  It appears others are seeing the same thing.  I've been using this app for several years and have made no changes to computers.  Every other section of the app works fine and quickly.  It's just the banking transactions section that's a problem.  I'm suspecting it's something to do with the new AI.

This is a very bad time for QBO for be unreliable with HST and Taxes due!!!  Very frustrating!

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click the Help button.
  3. In the QuickBooks Assistance chat box, select Talk to a Human or tap the Contact Us button at the bottom.
  4. Type your reason for contacting us in the What can we help you with? box and click Continue.
  5. From there, choose a way to connect with us: Chat with us, get a Callback, or call our support line directly by getting our Phone number.

Once resolved, you can start filing your sales tax return and record sales tax payments or manage payroll taxes and forms within the application.

I am having a similar issue in the quickbooks online mobile app. I have been trying to access my transactions for a couple weeks now and nothing suggested is working. It says they are having trouble loading and to try again later

To better assist you, could you please let us know if you are using an iOS (iPhone/iPad) or Android device, as well as the version of the QBO mobile app you currently have installed?

 

In the meantime, let's try refreshing your app data to clear any temporary glitches.

 

For Android:

 

  1. Navigate to Menu and tap More Options.
  2. Go to Settings, then hit Refresh Data.
  3. Select YES to confirm.

 

For iOS:

 

  1. Go to your device Settings, then tap General.
  2. Select iPhone Storage.
  3. Choose QuickBooks Online, then hit Offload App.

 

Once completed, reopen your transactions and check whether the issue persists. If you're still seeing the same error, please try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to give it a fresh start.

I am on IOS. I just updated today but the issue existed before that and still persists. I have now both offloaded the app and deleted and reinstalled the app without it fixing the issue. My bank is Chase and that is where all the accounts are held if that helps at all. I can load posted transactions but I cannot review transactions that I need to post

The issue you're experiencing with the iOS app requires a closer look from our Live Support team. While your overall Chase connection is working fine, the app is running into an unexpected error when trying to load your unposted transactions.

 

Here's how to contact our support team:

 

  1. Click the Help (?) button in your QuickBooks Online account. 
  2. Click the Search tab, then select the Contact Us button below. 
  3. Enter the details of your issue, then click Continue
  4. You can choose Callback to schedule an appointment or Chat to speak with a representative online.
