One of my employees deposited their cheques and I can see it under banking, but it's not matching to the payroll transaction. I manually matching it but it doesn't come up with the payroll transaction. I looked in "Categorized" and it hasn't been previously matched. How do I double-check that it hasn't been matched to another transaction? Also, if it hasn't been matched, how do I get it come up so I can match it?
as anyone used Veem in the US to accept US credit cards? It is interfaced with quickbooks but does not seem to work.
Bank charges are downloaded automatically and automatically assigned to the wrong place now I need to open that charge After it's been reconciled and assign it to a different place. for instance it's assigned to a transfer but it should be an invoice payment. How do I change it?
interac e-payment to a supplier refunded by the bank
That feature now appears to be available, but it's incredibly buggy. I have attached what I see when I click on "View statements" in the "Reconcile" tab. It looks like statements are being downloaded directly from my bank, but there are several problems. Although the top of the screen shows that I'm working in my "Chequing - CAD" account, absolutely all of the statements are for my "Chequing - USD" account. If I switch to any account that has statements, only "Chequing - USD" statements are shown in the "Reconciled" tab and none in the "Unreconciled" tab.If I switch to an account that doesn't support statement download, I get a message saying so, but the "Unreconciled" tab shows statements for my "MasterCard" account and the "Reconciled" tab shows nothing. As you can see from the list, many statements have been downloaded twice.Furthermore, all these statements were downloaded on December 2. At that time, my November statement was available online, but it's not in the list. When I s

I have followed all the instructions on the article to create retainers and deposits for customers. https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-ca/service-items/record-a-retainer-or-deposit/01/262099 BUT I am having the hardest time matching the bank transaction to the deposit receipt. No matter what I do, I can't figure out how to create a customer receipt without QBO telling me I have got double the amount in the Trust-Liabilities account. I see in the banking transactions that the deposit itself says "matched to: cheque deposit-branch / manually added." Which means it has matched to itself in the banking history. If I unmatch it, there ends up being only one deposit and I can't delete one of them. The transaction goes back to "for review". But there's still only one of itself.
When batch entering transactions, or entering transactions with the account register, is it possible to label outbound transactions out of a bank account as NOT cheques? I do year-ends for clients who obviously transfer money electronically, but all Quickbooks Desktop appears to have for electronic transactions is "cheque", credit card charge, deposit, bill, invoice, and credit. This is extremely misleading to the client as we have no way to enter non-cheque multiple transactions coming out of a chequing account, aside from incorrectly labelling them each as cheques.
I have not entered the balance forward journal entry yet. Moving from another system to Quickbooks. Yet there is a beginning balance showing for the bank accounts
I had 2 bank account in my system. My base is in CAD and the second bank is USD. Before I activated the multi-currency feature, I simply used CAD for both account. Now I activated multi-currency option, is there a way to change one of my current bank accounts to USD type? or do I have to create a new USD bank account?
Multi Currency is on, and I have NZD and USD set up. When I go to pay the NZD bill, and choose the USD account it was paid from, the exchange rate only allows me to enter a NZD to CAD exchange rate, which is my home currency but I paid it out of a USD bank account. I need to enter a NZD to USD exchange rate. My home currency has nothing to do with this payment.
Payments/Canada issue: I had a customer pay two outstanding invoices on Jan 4 2022, received notice by email customer made payment. Never received email notice that Money is on it's way. Money has not arrived in CIBC bank after 2 weeks.
Okay so I have 1 personal checkings account, and one newer business checkings account. Currently, both accounts are linked to my QB. I didn't have the business account open at first, so I was using my personal to deposit client payments, as well as paying off a business credit card. Then I got my business account, and I transferred the client payments there. I'm wondering, how can I keep track of this on QB? Should I have this personal account linked to QB, and if so how do I exclude all personal expenses without messing up my balance sheet? If not, how do I track the client payments and the business credit card expenses (paid off with personal funds)? Thanks so much!
I made a data entry error when entering 2021 YTD totals. The entry error was in transit from QB Desktop to QBO. the values in QB desktop are 100% correct it was my data entry error when punching in the values during setup
Migration to QBO-Migrated a client from Sage50 to QBO, using the TB numbers. Everything is nice and dandy, except for my bank reconciliation. The number from TB/BS has an amount of O/S items within it, which creates discrepancy in my bank reconciliation.I have solved this issue before, but right now, my brain is about to explode and can't remember how I did it.Does anyone know how to do this to have my GL-Bank intact, and my starting balance in my bank reconciliation correct?
