TIME module allows negative vacation

To prevent negative time-off balances, uncheck the 'Allow a Negative Balance' option in the Classic version, or select 'No, don't allow requests that will result in a negative balance' for Modern accounts.

For Classic:

1. Go to Time, then select Overview.
2. Click Go to classic QuickBooks Time.
3. Navigate to Time Off, then select Time Off Codes.
4. Select the specific employee, then click the pencil icon to edit.
5. Click Edit Settings.
6. Uncheck the box for Allow a Negative Balance if it is enabled.
7. Hit Apply.

For modern:

1. Go to Time, then select Time Off.
2. Select Policies.
3. Locate your vacation time-off code.
4. Click the three-dot icon next to it, then select Edit.
5. Scroll down to the Negative balance section.
6. Select No, don't allow requests that will result in a negative balance.
