Question

Billing customers

Is there a way to set up automatic increases in billing?     Or at least a reminder.

QuickBooks Desktop doesn’t have a built-in feature to automatically increase billing amounts over time. You'll need to update those manually when prices change.

However, you can set up reminders. When you create your recurring invoice, just memorize it and choose Remind Me instead of automatic entry. That way, QuickBooks will pop up with a reminder every billing cycle so you can review the account, make any price adjustments, and send it out.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to Customers > Create Invoices and set up the invoice as usual.
  2. Hover to the Edit menu and select Memorize Invoice.
  3. Give your memorized template a name, select how often it should repeat (like monthly), and choose the Remind Me option.
  4. Click OK to save it.

For more information, refer to this resource: Create, edit, or delete memorized transactions.
