enterprise versus desktop

I am having to make a decision.  I either have to stay with desktop and now go to the annual fee plus per monthly employee fee and then the enhanced payroll fee. or change to enterprise which would come out to about the same per year but includes payroll with it.  I need to know how similar they are because I like, more importantly my book keeper likes, the setup of desktop

Any help with comparison and if anyone has made the change and can tell me their experience would be great

QuickBooks Enterprise is just a 'flavor' of QuickBooks Desktop, a different SKU. It looks behaves almost exactly like Pro and Premier.

An upgrade to Enterprise from Pro or Premier is seamless. After Enterprise installation, all you have to do is open your company file in Enterprise and then you're set to go.

Do you have QB Desktop Pro or Premier now?

How many user licenses do you need?

How many employee do you need to manage their payroll?

desktop pro. 9-10 employees and one user. by my calculations with anual fees and per employee monthly fee the price would be about same or close

@swadedvm

QB Desktop 2024 Pro Plus for single user ($649) + Enhanced Payroll ($850) + 9 employees ($6*12*9 = $648) = $2,147 per year, exclude $4 per check

QB Desktop 2024 Enterprise Gold for single user = $1,729 per year, exclude $4 per check. You will get a perpetual discounts on renewal (20% off) to purchase a new license thru selected partners + a $100 cashback.

Thank you that is what I thought but wanted to verify before making the change.

I'm curious.  Did you make the change to Enterprise and how has it gone?  I'm comtemplating the same move.
