Yes, clicking Add again in the savings feed would double-record it. When you clicked Add as Transfer in the checking feed, QuickBooks Online automatically created both sides of the entry (a debit in your business checking and a credit in your business savings).
But before we start, based on your description, I noticed some options in QuickBooks you've mentioned Add in bank feeds. Are you using the previous/older version of bank feeds in QuickBooks Online? QuickBooks actually has two versions of the banking page, so I'll be using the two different options in the steps below to cover both bases.
If your feed only shows Add, try a quick browser refresh to display the updated feed. After you refresh the tab and it shows Match, click that option to link the transaction to the transfer you’ve already created, avoiding the creation of a duplicate.
