Hi there, @grannyfinn.

I'm here to lend a hand on how you can delete a pending build.

Let's run  a Pending build under the Inventory report.

  1. Go to the Reports menu at the top.
  2. Choose Inventory, then Pending builds.
  3. Select the item pending build on the report.
  4. From the Build assembly page enter control d and you will a prompt screen if you want to delete it.

See screenshot below for your reference:

Take a look at this article for the details: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

I've got you an article to learn more about Inventory Assembly Items in QuickBooks: Create, build, and work with inventory assembly items.

Additionally, let me share with you how to track the products you manufacture. It provides you with some insights on how to manage the products you build using inventory parts.

In case you have to adjust the quantity or total value of your product in QBDT to keep your inventory status accurate, you can visit this link: Adjust your inventory quantity or value in QuickBooks Desktop.

I'm willing to lend a hand again if you have other questions in QuickBooks Desktop. Just post your reply here, and I'll get back to you. I'm also willing to listen if you have follow-up concerns regarding the Inventory feature.

Hi @AbegailS_  and QuickBooks Team -

Isn't this also a way to delete a pending build?

1. Open the pending build.

2. Go to menu bar "Edit"

3. Select "Delete Build"
