My client can not get his 2014 QuickBooks software to install.  He has the original box and product code sticker, but when he enters the licenses & product code he gets an error that it is not valid.   What suggestions can I make to him to be able to get it installed?  He doesn't need an upgrade.  Basically uses the file as an electronic check register.

Hi there, Johnnene.

Thanks for dropping by here in QuickBooks Community. I'm here to help and provide some information about installing QuickBooks Desktop 2014.

In this case, you'll need to visit the Customer Account Management Portal Site (CAMPS) which allows you to manage all your QuickBooks Desktop products and perform tasks such as finding your license information and downloading your software.

To access CAMPS, log in to the Manage your QuickBooks web page and select your QuickBooks Desktop product tile.

You may also check this article to learn more about CAMPS: Use the Customer Account Management Portal Site (CAMPS)

For additional reference, you can visit this article for the detailed steps on how to install QuickBooks Desktop.

If you need further assistance when installing QuickBooks, I recommend calling our QuickBooks Desktop Support Team. They have additional tools to pull up your account and do a remote session.

Here's how you can contact our technical support:

  1. Click this link https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
  2. Select the version of QuickBooks, click Contact Us.
  3. Type-in Technical Support on the search bar.
  4. And click Get the Phone number below.

Please know that I'm just a post away if you have any other questions about installing QuickBooks Desktop. Have a good one.

@JanyRoseB

Please learn from this input.

@Johnnene

Your client is trying to use a Program that is no longer supported and will not register/activate. It reached end of life in May 2017. It will not Reinstall. The program is not considered compatible with Windows 10. Intuit has a 3-year lifecycle for the programs. QB 2019 has been out for 6 months, already. QB 2016 is reaching end of life in May 2019, for that same reason.

Worse, your Client's file is now 5 years behind current.

It is time to Update them to the QB 2019 program that meets their needs.

I paid $500 for this software and it works fine with the other computer running windows 10.  I would like to please reinstall it.  Please give me access to technical support.
