Thanks for posting here in the Community space, HPI2022. I've got some details about the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Pro Advisor Program (PAP) Premier Software Bundle.

QuickBooks will automatically download updates, when it's downloaded, you'll see the Update available option on the status bar in the top right corner. If you don’t see this option, your renewal date might still be some time away.

When the update is available, the next step is to install it. Here's how:

  1. Click the Update available and select Install now.
  2. It might take a while for the update to be installed.
  3. Once it's installed, open QuickBooks

Alternatively, you can get updates online. I'll show you how to download specific updates directly from our website:

  1. Go to the Downloads & Updates page and hit the standard setup.
  2. Select your Country, Product, and Version (year).
  3. Click Search and choose Get the latest updates.
  4. When the download finishes, open the file to install the update.
  5. When the installation finishes, follow the on-screen instructions.

Moreover, sometimes an update won’t advance to the next release number. If you encounter an error during the update installation, access this article and refer to Unable to install the update section: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.

Finally, check this article for guidance on running reports tailored to your business needs: Understand reports in QBDT.

Managing your subscription helps make your accounting easier, brings together important tools, and keeps your financial reports accurate. If you have any questions about the PAP Premier Software Bundle, we're here to help.

Really just want to get an idea of the date the newest update will be released on.  I've read something about October 20, 2024 but am not sure if that's correct.

I appreciate your detailed response, HPI2022. Allow me to add relevant information about product updates released in QuickBooks Desktop.

QuickBooks Desktop update release dates can vary. New versions are typically released annually, usually in the fall (around September or October) including new features, significant improvements, and compatibility updates.

The exact release dates can vary year-to-year but you can generally expect the major annual QuickBooks Desktop update to be available in September/October. Thus I'm unable to provide you with the exact date of the upcoming update.

To ensure you're always using the most up-to-date version, it's recommended to enable automatic updates or regularly check for updates manually.

Navigate through this article to get helpful insights: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.

If there are any additional questions, I'm just a post away.
