Hello there, sw1222.

Please know that the attachment you've added has been removed by moderator because it contained personal identifiable information (PII), to protect your privacy.

Based on the details you shared, it appears your transactions were calculated in reverse, leading to the $140,250 result. To get the correct total, start from the oldest transaction at the bottom and calculate upward. You can also click the Date column to show the newest transactions at the top.

When calculating transactions, it’s important to begin with the earliest entry and proceed chronologically toward the latest transaction. This method ensures you arrive at the accurate total balance and avoid confusion.

Feel free to reply below if you have further questions.

It doesn't have what to do with the date. It's the balance on the top corner not updating.

Thanks for getting back with the Community, sw1222.

There's a few reasons an account's balance could be displaying an incorrect amount:

Incorrect opening balance
Missing transactions
Outstanding checks
Duplicate transactions
New transactions that haven't been added to the register yet.

You can fix issues with beginning balances for accounts you've reconciled before. Each time you reconcile an account, you review its beginning balance in QuickBooks. This is the amount in your account at the beginning of the time period you're reviewing. You can think of it as a checkpoint that lets you know if you're starting with accurate numbers.

You can review our Fix issues with your beginning balance for accounts you've reconciled before article for detailed information on what causes beginning balance issues, troubleshooting tips, and steps on fixing balances.

Also be sure to try refreshing the page, to assure the current balance displayed is up-to-date with any new transactions eneteed in your books.

If the account balance is still looking incorrect and you're unsure why, I'd recommend checking with an accounting professional. If you're in need of one, there's an awesome tool on our website called Find a ProAdvisor. All ProAdvisors listed there are QuickBooks-certified and able to provide helpful insights for driving your business's success.

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any questions. Have a great Monday!
