To schedule a card charge for a future date, you'll need an active QuickBooks Payments account. Once set up, create a recurring Sales Receipt template with tomorrow's date as the start date. QuickBooks processes charges once daily after midnight PT.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings and select Recurring Transactions under Lists.
  2. Select New. From the Transaction Type drop-down menu, choose Sales Receipt, then select OK.
  3. Enter the Template name and set the Type to Scheduled.
  4. Select your Customer's name and verify their email.
  5. Set the Start Date to tomorrow's date.
  6. For a one-time charge, set the End option to After, then enter 1 in the occurrences field.
  7. From the Payment Method drop-down menu, choose the credit card type.
  8. Select Enter bank info, enter your customer's payment details, and click Submit.
  9. Enter your Product/Service and the Amount.
  10. Select Save template.
