QBO - Pay by check

When we were first forced to migrate to QuickBooks Online, we could pay well over 20 invoices at the same time when paying bills by check.

One of the latest updates has now limited that to 20 invoices at one time.  This is intensely prohibitive when you have multiple bills per vendor due.

How can you remove the 20 bill limit when selecting bills to pay by check in QBO?

You cannot remove the batch limit, as it is a hard system restriction tied directly to your QuickBooks Bill Pay subscription tier. To increase your multi-bill batch capability from 20 to 50 bills per transaction, we suggest upgrading from the Basic plan to the Premium or Elite tier.

 

Here's how you can upgrade your plan:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Subscriptions and billing.
  2. Go to the Billing & subscription tab in the left-hand menu.
  3. Locate the QuickBooks Bill Pay section, then select Upgrade your plan.
  4. Choose either the Premium or Elite tier and select Choose plan.
  5. Review your updated billing summary and confirm the changes.
