Question

Show the mark ups

I need to add a column that shows the mark up for parts on the proposal and invoices. How can I add the columns?

To add a Markup column to your proposals and invoices, customize your form templates. You can do this in the Formatting section when creating or editing a transaction.

Here’s how:

  1. Open a new or existing invoice.
  2. Choose the Formatting option above the invoice form.
  3. Beneath that option, select Customize Data Layout.
  4. Then go to the Columns section.
  5. Tick the boxes for the Screen and Print columns beside the "Other 1" option, and select the order you want for the Markup column. Then, change the name to Markup in the Title section.
  6. Once done, click OK.

To add the Markup column to the Estimate form, go to the Customer tab and select Create Estimates, or go to each existing estimate. Then, follow the steps above, and the Markup column will appear in the form.

Please know that after you add the Markup column, it does not calculate amounts automatically. You’ll need to manually calculate and enter the amount for each line item.
