When you select several accounts and take a bulk action, the Chart of Accounts now asks you to confirm and shows how many accounts are affected. After it runs, you can undo the change. Change many accounts at once without having to fix a mistake one account at a time.
A new 'Filters' button in the Chart of Accounts toolbar opens a panel where you can filter by 'Account type', 'Groups' (such as parent accounts or subaccounts only) and 'Status' ('Active', 'Inactive' or 'All'). Use 'Clear all' to reset and 'Apply' to see your results. Find the accounts you need faster, without scrolling the full list.
After you apply filters in the Chart of Accounts list, each one shows as a chip below the toolbar (e.g. 'Account type: Balance sheet'). Select the 'X' on a chip to remove just that filter. See what's filtering your list and clear one filter without reopening the 'Filters' panel.
When you start a reconciliation, including from the 'Reconcile' button in an account register, QuickBooks now opens the reconciliation experience you use. Previously, it could send you to the older reconcile screen instead. You no longer have to back out and restart to get to the right screen.
The Reclassify Transactions tool now lets you update the payee as part of reclassifying your transactions. You no longer need a separate edit afterward to fix the payee on each transaction.
On Reports, Customers and Banking pages, an offer is only considered when it can display properly in the page's current state. Rolling out gradually to select accounts. Fewer irrelevant popups to close while you work.
In the iOS app, pressing 'Enter' while editing a product or service description now starts a new line instead of moving your cursor to the end of the text. Write multi-line descriptions without losing your place or retyping.
The bundle screen that asks 'What do you want to cancel?' no longer cuts off content or pushes the 'Next' and 'Don't cancel' buttons off screen on phones and smaller windows. The same fix applies when you resubscribe to a bundle. Finish canceling or resubscribing without resizing your window or switching devices.
Connecting certain bank accounts in the iOS app no longer stops at a 480 error without a clear next step. Get your bank transactions into QuickBooks with fewer retries and calls to support.
You can now create a new vendor from the bills and expenses list in the Android app without leaving the flow. Enter a bill or expense for someone new in one go, with no side trip to your vendor list.
For Australian companies, the 'Business Feed' and 'Accounting' options in the Android app now open a working screen. Previously, they would lead to an error page. Get to your accounting work on the first tap, without hunting for another way in.
Once an invoice payment has been fully refunded, 'Refund from invoice' no longer appears in the invoice menu and the 'Process credit card' button on the refund receipt is turned off. Previously, you could submit a second refund that would fail only after saving, with errors such as an invalid amount. No more chasing refund errors for money that's already gone back to your customer.
QuickBooks now renews access in the background for some bank and financial connections made through partners, so it doesn't lapse as often. This is turned on for all partner connections. Fewer interruptions asking you to sign in to your bank again to keep transactions flowing.
Accountants can now turn on 'Include hidden clients' when building a user group to see inactive clients in the client list. Select them and save, and the users in that group get access to those clients. This saves you from reactivating clients just to assign them.
When Face ID or a passkey succeeds in the iOS app, you now go straight in. Previously, the scan could show success and then do nothing, so you had to tap 'Sign In' and sign in manually. One glance gets you in, without the extra sign-in every time you open the app.
When a Customer Agent scan finishes, the notification now shows how many leads it found. Previously, it could show 0 leads even when the scan had found some. See your results at a glance, without opening the app to check the real count.
When you fill in an invoice with voice input in the iOS app, missing required fields now show the same alerts as when you type. Catch gaps before you send, without checking every field by hand.
When you refund a card payment from the original sale or payment in the US and Canada, the refund receipt now names the card that was charged, with 'Process refund to original payment method' checked by default so the payment method can't be changed by mistake. The confirmation also names the destination card. No more guessing where a refund will land or redoing refunds sent to the wrong card.
The deposit message reads as a full sentence, for example '$300.00 was deposited on 10/12/2022', followed by a 'View deposit' link instead of a linked date that was easy to miss. Get to the matching bank deposit in one click.
Needs Attention' alerts for delayed, on hold, canceled and returned deposits now open your Deposits list already filtered to match (e.g. 'On hold' or 'Failed'). This is available to admins in the US. You land on the deposits the alert is about instead of the full list.
Conversations in the Customer Hub inbox and the pop-out conversation window now include an option to send a notification when you message a customer. Less time following up separately to make sure your customer saw your message.
You can now start a refund from a sales receipt in the new layout and have it linked to the original payment, just as you could in the classic layout. This is available for eligible transactions in the US and Canada. The refund ties back to the sale automatically, so there's less to re-enter or track down later.
The iOS app no longer signs you out when you briefly step away (e.g. to take a call or check email) and come back. That includes switching away in the middle of creating an invoice. Pick up where you left off instead of signing in again and again throughout the day.
Fixed error codes such as 10000, 4002 and 2010 that could appear when signing in to the iOS app or opening invoicing. Get into the app and back to work without retrying sign-in or switching to a browser.
The 'Select sales tax rate' dropdown on invoices and other transaction forms now lists your custom rates in alphabetical order. This applies to companies using manual sales tax rates, matching how automated sales tax already sorts. Find the right rate faster instead of scrolling through the whole list.
