We recently changed our fiscal year-end from March 31st to December 31st in Quickbooks Online. I followed the steps to change the fiscal year-end via "Account and settings > Advanced" for both fiscal year and tax year. I also changed the sales tax reporting periods from March 31st to December 31st for both CRA (GST) and BC Ministry of Finance (PST) via "Edit agency settings". Upon completion of the change, running the following standard reports have resulted in the following outputs: 1. Trial balance (all dates and custom dates) results in the correct account balances;2. Transaction report (all dates and custom dates) results in the correct account balances;3. General ledger (all dates) results in the correct account balances;4. General ledger (custom dates) results in the "Balance" column not agreeing to the trial balance and transaction report. Based on what I have read on the community boards, I can confirm that my transactional data is complete, however, when run

The online version of the app does this. I assume it's supposed to do it cause it would obviously be dumb if it didn't.

A/P Aging in QBO is designed the same as A/R Aging. But I need for Cash flow planning I need to know what is coming up as due. The QBO A/P Report tells me nothing.
This is an intermittent problem, but even if you reset the dates of the report it still doesn't fix it. This never happened in the old "experience" of QBO. Will this be fixed? It is very frustrating, especially during busy tax time.
Is anyone having a problem with the GST going to a Revenu Quebec report when it should go to the Receiver General?
I discovered that my client had under-recorded HST in prior periods. I now need to record this obligation, which is because we neglected to levy it in the first place is entirely the company's obligation. I tried as a JE: Dr. Expense, Cr. HST Collected. However, the Collected figure isn't showing in the HST report. How do I record this in QB? I'm using QB Online - Accountant version.

I need to get started on project as a beginner in QuickBooks. what should i do to achieve this?
There are rounding errors in my AR reports, how can I correct this?
they paid some tax instalments during the year already. thanks
The new version of QBO is so extremely glitchy that I have actually had to walk away from my laptop and do other tasks because I couldn't post JE's, the bank feeds would't let me select transactions, supplier tabs were so messed up that I couldn't find what I was looking for, bank feeds no longer alllows me to match a transaction to an expense, and I could go on and on. The new version is a literal nightmare and my productivity has hit rock bottom becasue I am having to duplicate or even triplicate my work in order to try to get transactions to save.

The Balance Sheet total shows -588.16; however, it should show $50.40. I'm trying to add $638.56 to the Undeposited account without having an entry that is "waiting" to be deposited.
I want to track expenses (paper receipts & Labor per invoice) How can I do this?
For some reason when I display my cash account on screen it displays 1st line Red, 2nd line White rather then the 1st line a little grey, 2nd line white. The red is obnoxious and I want to revert to the old colour scheme. Can someone tell me how to do this and also shed some light on why it changed?ThanksLee McQ
