In my Customer Information account the customer's open balance shows up with 294.49. However, I cannot find the open Balance in the customer Information Transactions. Don't know there the open balance is coming from. See attached Screenshot. Thanks in advance for your help.

You can reveal the hidden payment or credit memo that is bringing the balance down by changing your filter View to All transactions.

Looking at your transaction list, your open invoices total $5,400.20. However, the customer’s total balance on the left sidebar is only $294.49. Because the main balance is much lower than the invoice balance, it means there is a large payment or credit memo sitting in the account that is currently hidden from your view.

Alternatively, you can run a Customer Balance Detail report. This is a great shortcut because it bypasses the Customer Center screen entirely and forces QuickBooks to show every single open transaction linked to this customer in one clean list.
