Accountants changes pending

I understand how important it is to transfer your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company file to QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let’s discuss how you can proceed with the migration while there are pending changes from your accountant. You should be able to get back to managing your business in no time.

While the accountant's changes are pending, transferring QBDT files to QBO is unavailable. However, I recommend consulting your accountant to confirm whether you can lift these restrictions for migration. Please note that this action is permanent, and changes won't be imported into the company file after restrictions are removed.

If you wish to get rid of the Accountant's Copy restriction, follow these steps:

1. Go to the File menu and select Send Company File.
2. Choose Accountant's copy, then Client Activities.
3. Pick Remove Restrictions. 
4. Hit Yes, I want to remove the Accountant's Copy restrictions, then OK.

If you decide to wait for your accountant's changes before transferring your QBDT file to QBO, you'll have to import their changes to update your company file.
