Closing date security bug!

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to check for any data issues that might be causing this behavior.

Before proceeding, verify the date format in your system's settings. An incorrect date format could be the reason for the discrepancy in the displayed closing date.

Here's how:

1. Open your QuickBooks Enterprise.
2. Go to Edit, then Preferences.
3. Choose Desktop View.
4. Under My Preferences, in the Window Settings, select Display.
5. Within Window Settings, look for options to select or adjust the date format under Display settings.
6. Click OK to save your changes to preferences.

Once you've confirmed the date format, restart QuickBooks to refresh the system. This step ensures the application reloads with updated system settings and clears any temporary glitches.

After that, we can run  Verify and Rebuild  to identify and resolve potential issues within your company file. Here's how to proceed:

1. Proceed to the Window tab, then Close All.
2. Click on File and select Utilities.
3. Choose Verify Data. Hit OK.

• QuickBooks detected no problems with your data: This means your data is clean, and no further action is required.
• Your data has lost integrity: Data damage was found in the file. Rebuild your data to fix it.

After that, follow these steps to rebuild your company data:

1. Navigate to the File menu, then choose Utilities.
2. Select Rebuild Data. Hit OK.
3. Save your backup, and OK.
4. When the Rebuild has completed message appears, click OK.

Keep in mind that QuickBooks Enterprise 2018 is no longer supported by Intuit, meaning these troubleshooting steps may not fully address the issue due to the outdated version you are using.
