Customer Detail Page

I want to edit the fields that are displayed on each customer "landing" page. The default info displays email, phone, billing address, shipping address, notes, and a spot for custom fields. I have created a custom field under "Customer" and I don't need this to be displayed on any forms. When I click on the pencil icon to add a custom field to this section there is a message that says "No custom fields left to add". I do see the custom field is generated at the bottom of the page when I choose to edit the customer. However I also want this to display in the "landing" page for the customer next to all of the above fields. How is this achieved?

Hello there, Aaron.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate the context of your request regarding customizing the fields visible on the Customer detail page in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The Pencil icon located in the Custom Field section of the Customer's page is used to edit the custom fields you have added to a customer's profile. These fields enable you to customize and track additional information about your customers.

Currently, the ability to display a custom field directly on the Customer landing page isn't available. We encourage you to share your feedback with us so we can enhance the display experience in QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Enter a brief description of your product suggestion.
  3. Click Next to submit it.

This is again disappointing that Feedback is the solution. I have seen other threads on this same subject dating back years and no fixes. QB adds garbage like AI but cant solve simple user-requested issues.
