Question

Inventory Ordered Report

I need a report that to allows me to filter by part number so I can see how many of each inventory item we have ordered for a specific date range.

None of the reports that I can find show that.

To better assist you, could you let us know where you entered the part numbers for your inventory items? For example, in the SKU field or in the Description field of the Product/Service record?

I enter all part numbers in the “Name*” field.  I leave the SKU blank -- we do not use that field for anything currently.

The Purchases by Product/Service Detail report is the solution. Since you track your items using the Name field, customize it by choosing the Product/Services filter, selecting the Value for your item names, and setting your date range.

Here's how to set it up:

  1. Go to Reports and search for Purchases by Product/Service Detail in the search bar.
  2. Once the report opens, set your desired date range in the Report period field.
  3. Click Customize.
  4. Under the Filter section, look for Product/Services.
  5. In the Value option, select the specific part number(pulled directly from your Name entries).
  6. Then, click Apply changes.
