I created custom fields and want to add them to the AR report.  How do I do this?

You can add the custom fields you created by adjusting the More Columns section on your AR report page. Just make sure it is the AR Aging Detail Report, because the AR Summary Report does not include this field.

Here’s how:

  1. On the report page, click the Customize tab.

  2. Go to the More Columns option.

  3. Scroll down until you find the Custom Fields section.

  4. Select the checkboxes for the custom fields you want to display in the report.

  5. Once finished, click Apply changes.

Feel free to return if you have any further questions.

The AR Aging Summary Report does not have a “More Columns” option.  *Most* of the reports, even if they have a “more columns” option, do not include the option for custom fields.  I’ve tried to attach a screenshot but this website gives me an error.  The Customize choices I have are Filters,Show non-zero or active, Number format, Show entity names in the columns, and Aging.

The A/R Aging Summary Report does not have a More Columns option. To view your custom fields, you must run the A/R Aging Detail Report instead.

To keep your books organized, we recommend having one Accounts Receivable (A/R) account and one Accounts Payable (A/P) account. For more details, check out this article: Group Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable account types.
