We can perform fixes using the built-in utilities in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), which can detect issues in your company file, Fromb.

A Fatal error usually happens due to corrupted files or outdated software. Since the sample company file is functioning without errors, this indicates possible corruption or damage in the older company file.

Let's verify your data first. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to File menu and select Utilities.
  2. Select Verify Data.
  3. If you encounter a pop-up message stating Your data has lost integrity, it means your data has been damaged and requires rebuilding to fix the issue

To rebuild your company file data, follow these steps:

  1. Select File menu, then navigate to Utilities.
  2. Click Rebuild Data.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions and click OK.
  4. Choose the location to save your backup file, then click OK.
  5. Assign a new name to the file in the File name field, and click Save.

QuickBooks Pro v6.0 is a legacy version and is no longer supported by Intuit. We recommend upgrading to a newer version of QuickBooks will not only improve stability but also offer enhanced functionalities and better system compatibility.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have further concerns or require additional assistance. We’re here to help.
