Welcome to the Community space, @Dianej1.

Let me help you calculate your overtime premium in the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Payroll.

First off, make sure to double-check the code you're using, and before running your payroll, ensure to set the overtime premium preference. Otherwise, your Workers' Compensation reports will be inaccurate. Here's how:

  1. Go to Edit, and click Preferences.
  2. Select Benefits & HR, then hit the Company Preferences tab.
  3. Click Workers Compensation.
  4. Ensure to tick on the Track Workers Comp and Exclude overtime premium from Workers Comp calculation checkboxes.
  5. Once done, select OK, then OK.

Moreover, I'm adding this article as your reference in paying your workers' compensation premiums in QBDT: Pay Workers' Compensation premiums in QuickBooks Desktop.

Return to this post if you have other concerns about calculating your overtime premium in QuickBooks Desktop. I'll be here to lend a hand.
