How do I fix this persistent error message.

"To backup your company file, there must be [removed] bytes of space available on D:\QBBackupTemp but currently there are only [removed] bytes available. Please free up some space."

I have tried multiple times with brand new drives that have an over abundance of space and it continues to give me this same message. It seems like it is something internal to QuickBooks.

Thank you

Lynne

I installed the tool hub. Which selection from the tool hub shall I try first? Company file issues? or Program Problems?

Hi lynanhil,

Getting an error that there isn't enough disk space, can be concerning.  To review and make space on your hard drive, click here.  You may also benefit from running Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks Tools Hub.

If the issue persists, please don't hesitate to contact our QuickBooks Desktop specialists, outside of this forum.  You can locate the contact details here

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out. We would be happy to help!

Open the sample file and run the backup. Did you encounter the same problem?
