Hi there,
I just want to learn from other users in Canada who use PayPal to receive payment and pay expenses a lot: How do you, or what is the easiest way to connect Quickbooks to PayPal?
I was trying to download IIF file from PayPal but PayPal only allows downloading completed payment. This won't help a lot in accounting.
Thanks.
Leo
Hey there leokong18,
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! It's always a pleasure to see new faces. Being able to connect your PayPal to QuickBooks correctly is an important step in maintaining clean books. I would be happy to provide some information.
In order to integrate other payment processors to your QuickBooks Online account, you'll need to use one of out 3rd party Apps. You can find QuickBooks Apps at the bottom of the Navigation panel. Once you're in the App center, all you need to do is type what you're looking for in the Search bar. In addition, I'll leave this post open for comments.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out here.
Thank you Amanda. Do you have any recommended app?
Honestly I am trying to control the expense as I understand those apps charge us monthly. If a simply approach of downloading file and importing it into quickbooks can solve the problem, it will be much better.
Hi Leo. While I'm unable to recommend a specific app, I recommend choosing an app that suits your business needs based on the app description and reviews. Let me know if you have other questions, I'm here to assist.
Has anyone been able to do this? I'm not very tech sophisticated with systems and was hoping someone with a Canadian QB Account has automated this?

As an additional option, use a backup restore app before connecting the apps to lower any risks.
