Hi all. Is there a way to use the QB printed computer cheques for payroll rather than manual paper cheques? The options given are direct deposit or manual cheque only. I would like to use computer cheques so I don't have to write them manually and save some time. Similar to a bill payment. Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks in advance.
Matt
Hi MattS1,
It's a pleasure to see you in Community. Welcome! It's great to hear that you're paying your staff with QuickBooks Online Payroll. To simplify your work, you can set your printing options to print pay stubs for manually written cheques, or you can set your preference to printing on pre-printed QuickBooks®-compatible voucher cheques. Here's how;
1. Open your Settings ⚙ and select Payroll settings
2. Click on the Edit ✎ to the right of the Printing section
3. Choose how you'd like to print your cheques
4. Hit OK when finished.
That's it! You're all set!
Please don't hesitate to get back to us here, if you have any other questions. We'd love to help!
Hi Trish. Thanks for the response. Will that work if I use three cheques per sheet? All of our computer cheques are 3 per sheet. Thanks again.
Hi MattS1,
Thanks for getting back to me. In QuickBooks Online Payroll, printing a voucher cheque provides the cheque at the top followed by two perforated vouchers. Although they can be printed without the vouchers, you can't print three cheques per sheet. To use the computer cheques you've already purchased, I suggest taking a look at third party apps for the best fit for your business needs. If you'd like to see this option available moving forward, please feel free to submit a suggestion to our Development Team. All customer recommendations are reviewed and greatly appreciated to assist with improving your overall customer experience with QuickBooks Online.
I hope you find this to be helpful. We're here for you if you have any other questions or concerns!
