Just interested in what other people think of the new theme now its officially been forced on all users. Personally I think it has been a massive disaster and a pointless waste of time / money from Intuit.
Pages are slower to load
Navigation / Menu is worse
Annoying pop out side bar on invoice pages EVERY TIME an invoice is opened
Pointless AI - I clicked "Create invoice with AI" just to see what it was about - 5 minutes wasted just for it to tell me it cant create an invoice and would I like guideance how to create an invoice - NO! I have done 1000s over the years without AI guiding me. The heading literally says "Create invoice with AI"
One thing that would be helpful - "Create refund / credit note" from an existing invoice like QB desktop.
All these pointless "improvements" without improving anything at all. The changes have only slowed things down and made it worse.
Very frustrating knowning that SOOO much could have been done to actually IMPROVE the product for users but instead this is what Intuit thought would be a good idea.
Some questions for Intuit......
1. Who thought the update was a good idea?
2. Who signed off on it and what was the logic or reasoning behind it?
3. Why does no one from Intuit management or development team read the forums for real life feedback from users - The people keeping you in business?
4. If you do read the forums why does eveything your users ask for get ignored in favour of pointless useless updates no one wants or needs?
Good questions. I look forward to answers! :eyes:
There is also another thread on the "improved" UI Re: New interface is terrible and NOT an improvement. Stop messing with it - Page 2
I reported 15 separate bugs on the new / modern interface of the iPhone App 6 weeks ago.
Not a single one has been fixed yet.
18 users across 4 different accounts struggling with basic tasks like invoicing / payments.
I expect that Intuit will fix a few of the worse of the bugs and you'll learn to live with/avoid the rest.
And that once you get used to the new and oh-so-wonderful interface, then Intuit will change it again and make it worse. It's a QuickBooks Online tradition!
Out of curiosity, I clicked on an 'insight' next to a payment for insurance. Intuit AI informed me that my insurance costs had risen by 3000% from March to April. Yes. Because it's an annual premium. Thanks for the 'insight'.
I've disabled or minimised as much as I can, but there's no way to just say no thanks and disable the whole lot.
Our business is small and straightforward. We have been running it for 30 years. We don't need this bloated, intrusive crap.
