How to change/ downgrade plan?

Greetings, aturchetti.

I'm here to assist you with your question about downgrading QuickBooks Online subscription.

Once you cancel your subscription, you'll have read-only access to your data for only one year. If you want to retain your information and downgrade to a lower version, you can do this directly through your existing account.

For the detailed steps and the things you need to know before downgrading, please visit the article I'm adding below:

Downgrade your QuickBooks Online subscription.

In case you want to know more about what happens to your data upon canceling, I'm adding this article as well for additional reference:

What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel?.

I'm always available here if you need additional assistance with the migration. The Community has your back.

How to change/ downgrade plan?

Hi there, marcus.avecilla!

Let me help you with your subscription concern.

QuickBooks Plus lets you do a lot of things you might need in the future (i.e. track inventory, print 1099, managing budgets). To downgrade your subscription from QuickBooks Plus to Essentials, you'll have to cancel your plus first and start with a new one with essentials.

When you’re done with the cancellation process, you’ll then have to subscribe a new subscription with QuickBooks essentials through this website: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/

If you need anything else with your subscription, you’re always free to reach out to us.

How to change/ downgrade plan?

Hi this link to downgrade doesn't work. I'm in the UK - can I downgrade from Plus to Essentials?  I didn't even know I was on the Plus plan until today when I changed accountant and they unsubscribed from managing the payment.   If I have to unsubscribe and resubscribe will my information be transferred across?  Thank you

How to change/ downgrade plan?

Hi there, RachP.

It's my top priority that you're able to downgrade your subscription. I'm here to get you pointed in the right direction for determining how you can downgrade and if your information will be transferred.

I recommend contacting the QuickBooks Online Support Phone Team. This team is the best resource for such inquiries, as they're able to request account information to pull up your company and share sensitive information, while this is a public forum.

Once they have this information, they'll be able to further assist with determining the best course to take to downgrade and to transfer your information. You can locate their contact information at the following link: QuickBooks Online Support Phone Team

Keep in touch if I can be of further assistance. Wishing you and your business all the best!

The downgrade option is only available in the US, mate. Sorry.

For the data, you can't transfer them all. You can export lists like customers, suppliers, products/services, and then re-import them to the new account. For reports, you can export them to Excel.

For transactions like invoices, you'd have to use a third party app to export/import them.

Best of luck, mate. Cheers.

Hi  marcus-avecilla

I have to downgrade my account and I was wondering if you were able to save your data when you cancel and re subscribe with essential if you did.

How to change/ downgrade plan?

Hi,

the link about how to downgrade is useless to me because i am in the UK and that option is not available there.

The what happens to the info is also useless cause it doesn't tell me that when i cancel and re subscribe all info will be there.
