My clients send me an accountants' version of their file and I'm required to log into Intuit every time I open it. Is there any way around that? Every day I open the file and my client gets an email and has to give me permission. I can't change things since it's an accountant's version so why do I have to log in?
Yes, this whole thing is a mess.
Are you sure you have to log in? In my experience there's a cancel button that then lets me bypass the login.
I haven't been able to bypass. There is no cancel, and when I just try to click to another window it won't let me. But I was also super irritated last night and just got my 24 hour access and moved on. I'll look again, thanks. Also my client has already approved me so I don't understand why it sends an email to her every time to do it again.
I have the accountant's version and it does it when ever I toggle between my clients books....this is insane.
The bypass is by clicking on the Intuit login popup and pressing Alt + F4. This doesn't quit QB but it does close the popup window
It will not let me to get to log in on Desk Top Quickbooks
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, @4340. I'd be glad to help you log in to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
To begin with, may I know what specific error message you encountered when attempting to access or log in to QBDT? This will allow me to offer accurate assistance in resolving the issue.
In the meantime, you can run Quick Fix my program to correct common issues immediately. The QuickBooks Tool Hub can help resolve common errors. To use it, we'll first have to close QBDT. For the best experience, we recommend using Tool Hub on Windows 10, 64-bit.
Here's how to download the QuickBooks Tool Hub:
Next, let's run the Quick Fix my program. Doing so will shut down any current background processes and run a quick repair on your program. To do that:
