I just opened a QuickBooks account and don’t like the way my transactions were imported from GoDaddy Bookkeeping and I just want to start over. Any way to bulk delete transactions?

Which QBO plan do you have? You are unable to purge QBO Simple Start. You should cancel it and open a new blank account.

As an additional option, utilize the trial version of a backup restore app during your setup.

I do have the Simple Start version which is way more than I even need for an online eBay/Poshmark/Mercari  business. I was trying to avoid just cancelling and starting a new subscription because as part of GoDaddy Bookkeeping migration to Quickbooks I got a $15/month deal for a year. Any way I can cancel and still get that deal?

You've come to the right place for help with handling transactions in QuickBooks Online, @lorilhermann-gma.

Right now, only bank feed transactions that haven't been added to QuickBooks are currently eligible for bulk deletion. I'll walk you through the process of deleting online banking transactions:

  1. Open the Banking menu.
  2. Choose the correct account.
  3. Navigate to the For Review tab then mark the items you're deleting.
  4. Hit the Batch actions button.
  5. Select Exclude Selected.
  6. After that, go to the Excluded tab.
  7. Pick the transactions again then hit the Batch actions button.
  8. Select Delete.

However, if you're deleting transactions that are synced from Go Daddy Bookkeeping, you'll have to delete them one at a time.

Furthermore, I suggest doing a purge company if you'd like to delete all data and start over. If your books are 60 days and older, you'll have to cancel your current QBO account and start a new one. On the other hand, review this module for some reminders and the detailed steps of purging a company: Delete your data and start over in QuickBooks Online.

Loop me in if you have additional queries about handling data or QuickBooks in general. I'm always ready to back you up. Take the best care!

Thanks for always getting back to us with additional details, lorilhermann-gma.

To get the same promotion, I would recommend reaching out to our sales teams. They can review your account and check if you can cancel the existing one and create a new subscription at the same rate.

Please go to this link and get their contact details in the upper-right hand corner: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/.

With regards to a feature about deleting multiple transactions, I recommend sending a feature about this to our product engineers. Customer feedback and suggestions on how to improve your QBO experience are always welcome and reviewed whenever updates are designed. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Type in your product suggestions and click Next.
