How do I recognize and remove duplicated deposits

If you have AI in QuickBooks, why doesn't it recognize duplications of deposits? Also, why when I put tax deductions in I can't see them in the beta? It's made me enter duplicates because they are not showing up.

How do I recognize and remove duplicated deposits

Hello Jewel.

QuickBooks’ AI-powered banking features focus on transaction matching and categorization, not on detecting duplicate deposits. The system analyzes each bank transaction, and when it makes a recommendation, it marks it with a Suggested by AI icon. For more details, see the QuickBooks resource: How AI suggestions help match and categorize bank transactions.

Also, tax deductions will not appear correctly in a beta version because beta builds can have incomplete features. That can cause missing entries or duplicates if transactions are re-entered. To avoid duplicates, use a single deposit method, monitor deduction entries carefully while using the beta, and reconcile regularly.

To fix a duplicate deposit, follow John-Pero's suggestion to open your bank register from the Chart of Accounts. If the duplicate occurred on the Banking page and you already categorized the deposit, undo that categorization, then either match the bank transaction to the existing record or exclude the duplicate from the bank feed in QuickBooks.
